The Los Angeles (LA) Times reports on the 25th anniversary of the Compassionate Use Act of 1996, and asks: Is it high time for the Feds to legalize weed? CMCR research was featured on PBS NOVA on September 29, 2021. As part of this update to the public on medicinal and recreational cannabis, NOVA reached out to Professor Doris Trauner, lead investigator in CMCR’s study on the possible efficacy of cannabidiol (CBD) in the management of symptoms of severe autism. Dr. Doris Trauner is leading a CMCR clinical trial studying the effects of CBD on symptoms of severe autism in children. The study is currently enrolling participants and hopes to determine whether CBD reduces the problem behaviors seen in children with severe autism.
