At the February 17, 2023 Society of Cannabis Clinicians' quarterly meeting, Dr. Igor Grant gave an overview of the Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research (CMCR) discussing past and current studies, the challenges facing cannabis research, and potential future research projects. 

Dr. Tom Marcotte discusses acute effects of cannabis use (THC) on driving performance on the Navigating Neuropsychology (NavNeuro) podcast. Hosts Dr. John Bellone and Dr. Ryan Van Patten discuss the methodology, results and implications of Dr. Marcotte's study on cannabis and driving published in JAMA Psychiatry.

Dr. Thomas Marcotte, CMCR Co-Director participated in a panel discussion of recent research findings on cannabis and driving, including what research is needed to better understand how cannabis impacts driving performance and safety, as well how improved technology might be able to detect impaired driving.

JAMA Psychiatry interviewed Dr. Tom Marcotte and Dr. Rob Fitzgerald on CMCR's randomized trial examining the magnitude and time course of driving impairments due to acute cannabis use, and whether different THC content levels in cigarettes affect driving performance.

Dr. Igor Grant presented at University of Cincinnati's Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Grand Rounds on September 8, 2021 delivering The Stanley and Mickey J. Kaplan Distinguehsed Psychiatry Lecture. His presentation on "Medicinal Cannabis" discussed the current evidence for the potential medical use of cannabis, explained differences in the pharmacokinetics of inhaled vs. oral administrations, and reviewed regulatory issues related to medicinal cannabis and cannabinoids.
