Translational Research in Psychophysiology, Exploration, and Cognition (TRIPEC) Fellowship
A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego in the Translational Research in Psychophysiology, Exploration, and Cognition (TRIPEC) laboratory. Our research focuses on cognition and behavior in neuropsychiatric diseases such as bipolar disorder, HIV, and substance use disorders, as well as on animal models of these conditions. We are seeking a motivated candidate with a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field who is interested in studying the interaction of neuropsychiatric disease with use of substances such as cannabis and tobacco/nicotine. MDs with research interests are also strongly encouraged to apply. The fellow will work on NIH-funded R01 and P50 projects. Under mentorship, fellows will participate in data collection and analysis with human subjects. Fellows are also expected to participate in writing manuscripts and grant applications. Salary is based upon the NIH payscale and the candidate’s experience.
