Clinical Study
Clinical studies are research studies testing the safety and efficacy of new treatments in human volunteers.

Pre-Clinical Study
Pre-Clinical studies are research studies testing the safety and efficacy of new treatments in laboratory models.

Sub-Study
Sub-Studies are research studies that do not recruit independently. These studies recruit participants solely from the population of a larger "parent" study.
